anywhere in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Continent-Wide
at a cost-effective price. POPSat is a dedicated and
guaranteed satellite communications service very well
suited for corporate networks, ISPs and Government institutions
requiring scalable high-rate dedicated links. Remote
offices can now be reached regardless of their location
generating vast opportunities for growth. Whether it
is to link to their local ISP or for a corporate entity
that requires connectivity to its various branches in
Africa or Europe, POPSat is the solution.
The
Service Offering
The
Service allows companies and organizations to terminate
high-speed dedicated data links anywhere in East Africa
and other parts of Africa.
The new service can provide data bit rates of up to
5 Mbps, allowing for high quality Voice over IP, video
conferencing as well as other applications that require
high Quality of Service. It is characterized in a lowest
possible delay over satellite, Committed Information
Rate and is scalable upon request.
POPSAT
– M (East Africa)
Alldean Satellite Networks has installed POPs
(Point of Presence) in all major towns throughout the
East African Community. Each of these sites will interface
with wireless base stations to extend the connectivity
to various customer premises.

POPSAT
– V
This
POPSAT-V service can provide point-to-point or point-to-multipoint
dedicated satellite links for customers all over East
Africa as well as other countries in the African continent.
For remote sites, located outside the coverage of POPSat-M,
or beyond the borders of East Africa, a dedicated POPSat-V
satellite terminal is the right solution. These satellite
terminals can provide bit rates of up to 2 Mbps and
will be connected directly to the branch office LAN.
